Data Points that measure progress #

Data Points that measure progress

Work Metrics help you keep projects on track and stay up-to-date with your team’s progress. We know how valuable it is to have this information at your fingertips, so we make it easy to find and display them throughout the workspace.  Work Metrics show how much work is expected, what’s been done, what’s left to do, and progress overall.

Total Work: Logged + Remaining Estimate = how much work is expected overall
Logged: hours tracked  = what’s done
Remaining Estimate: best case – worst case range for how long it will take to finish = what’s left to do
% Complete: percentage of work completed so far = progress toward completing Total Work

Both Total Work and Remaining Estimate can be displayed as a range, or as the midpoint value for the range: Total Work (Expected) and Remaining Estimate (Expected).

Work metrics are found on the Edit Panel Properties tab for Tasks, Projects, and Packages.

Work Metrics for a Package, Project, or Sub-Folder are a roll up of scheduling data from all items in the container. Work Metrics on a task are a roll up from assignments (shown above).
